The Advent season at Tantivy Farm is a very special time. We developed and planted the Advent Garden in 2017 in the shape of St. Andrew's Cross, following the design of Don Haynie and Tom Hamlin, previous owners of Buffalo Springs Herb Farm in Raphine and also because our younger son is named Andrew. This part of our lavender field is now the focal point and a spot where meditation is encouraged.
At the workshop, Penny will guide each participant through the making of a live Advent Wreath, using herbs and greens from the advent garden and other spots at Tantivy. We shall also be serving lavender themed snacks and beverages and provide a form and the candles for lighting the wreath each Advent Sunday leading up to the celebration of Christ's birth.
